Top 3 Reasons Davao City Philippines is Poised for Heavy Economic Growth19 Jun
Despite the current world economic crisis, Davao City is a booming city. Davao has been touted as one of the most live-able and peaceful cities in Asia.
And as such, it has attracted the eyes of local and foreign investors. There are currently 3 major malls being built in the city, two of which has facilities for technology hubs and outsourcing office spaces. More than a dozen residential property developments are also underway. And with the operation of the Davao International Airport, more investments are pouring in.
The airport has also aided the city in increasing the influx of tourists in the city. The trend of eco-tourism and adventure tourism has helped the city attract visitors. These visitors, in turn, have helped spurt the growth of local industries and companies. Hotel occupancy has increased and local restaurants, souvenir shops, and related businesses haven’t really felt any major effects of the economic crisis.
And with Mindanao as home to more than 40 universities and even more colleges, there is a wide source of untapped wealth of human resources in Davao. Most of Mindanao’s talented and skilled manpool is currently concentrated in Davao City as it it the metropolis and center of economic activity in the island.
With countless infrastructure and property developments, a bustling tourism industry, and a deep manpool resource, Davao City is certainly poised for economic growth despite the current world economic crisis.
