Transcription Outsourcing Services Streamlining Operations and Boosting Profits12 Oct
Businesses thrive by focusing on their core operations that drive their revenues to greater heights. However, often the mundane and time-consuming administrative details take precious time and resources away from the core business strategy. This fact is especially relevant for the medical and legal fields, as well as any type of organization that necessitates data transcription.
Rather than hiring in-house staff member that will demand both management and financial resources, opting for a transcription outsourcing service will streamline the administrative headaches – while simultaneously bolstering the bottom line.
Popular Transcription Outsourcing Services
A transcription outsourcing service can help organizations in any industry operate more effectively and profitably. Examples of industries that benefit from a transcription outsourcing service include:
- Medical – Transcribing medical records in-house is a long, involved, and costly process. Transcribing this data abroad, however, is not only more cost-effective, but allows your managers to focus on the core operations of your business model.
- Legal – Accurate records are critical to the legal field, whether you are engaging in legal documentation, court reporting, litigation support, or immigration paperwork. Outsourcing legal transcription allows attorneys to focus on the case and not the administrative details.
- Journalism – Transcripts are important for journalistic accuracy, but transcriptions of interviews, news stories, and audio visual content are highly time-intensive. Both paper and digital media companies have outsourced their journalism transcription to the Philippines to streamline their resources.
Outside of these fields, transcription outsourcing can also be utilized to transcribe personal messages or voicemail recordings.
Transcription Outsourcing in the Philippines
The Philippines is widely recognized as one of the premier countries for transcription outsourcing services. With a high percentage of hardworking college graduates who speak more fluent English than in China or India, it is no wonder that more and more America companies are tapping into this resource and choosing outsourcing companies in the Philippines.
Advantages of Transcription Outsourcing
There are many practical benefits to choosing a transcription outsourcing service. Some of the main benefits include:
- Easy access to transcribed records by the client or patient
- Possibility of using an online database that keeps transcriptions well-organized
- Records can be organized in a searchable format by text
Outsourcing your transcription demands gives you more time to focus on your company’s core strategy, while simultaneously reducing your operating costs. These benefits are only the tip of the outsourcing iceberg!

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog.

This is a great informative article and good advice on how businesses should stay focused on what they do best. However, I would like to mention that for high-quality transcriptions you should always go with native English speakers from your area. I say this since accents can be strong and hard to understand, especially if the audio isn’t top notch. So if you’re from the United States, you should always hire someone from there. The price for U.S. transcriptions will be more, but not having to proof the transcriptions is great peace of mind and time saving.

Thanks for the comment, but I have to respectfully disagree. People here in the Philippines are native English speakers. In fact many speak better than some Americans. Plus, it is simply not cost effective to hire Americans for transcription unless you are willing to pay top notch money. Most transcription needs to be cheap by design.
I would but a well trained Philippino transcription specialist up against any American counterpart. Contact me directly if you are up to the challenge.
Magnificent comment about search engines. I’m frankly dumbfounded that it has not been told earlier.
